For more than three decades, the Madison String Program and the wider Idaho teaching community have sent generations of students through our doors. We would not be the shop we are without the teachers who trust us with their players.
A teacher recommendation carries more weight than any advertising we could buy. When you tell a family where to go for an instrument, you are putting your own judgement behind it, and we treat that seriously. It is why every instrument leaves here properly set up, and why we would rather sell a student the right instrument than the most expensive one in the case.

A Properly Set Up Instrument
Every instrument we sell is fitted and adjusted by hand before it leaves: bridge shaped, soundpost set, string heights cut, strings fitted. A student who is not fighting their instrument progresses faster.
A Lifetime Repair Warranty
Every instrument we sell carries a lifetime repair warranty. If it needs attention years from now, it comes back to us and we look after it.
Full Trade-In Credit
When a student outgrows an instrument, it can be traded back for credit equal to its original purchase price, as long as it has been looked after. Moving up a size never means starting over.
An In-Person Fitting
We measure and fit every student rather than guessing from age. It takes a few minutes, and it prevents the most common cause of early frustration.
How It Works

Refer a Student
Mention Ferguson Violins to a family who is shopping for an instrument or starting their child in lessons.

Log the Referral
Fill out the form below with your name, the student's name, and what they bought. Takes about a minute.
3
Receive Your Credit
Once the sale is confirmed, Richard reaches out to arrange your thank-you — instrument credit, accessories, or a check.
