Our Services
Ferguson Violins Services
Over 30 years of professional experience, serving string players across eastern Idaho from our shop in Rexburg
Quality Instruments
Carefully selected and prepared violins, violas, and cellos, from student instruments through to fine ones. Every one is set up by hand in our Rexburg shop before it leaves, so it plays properly from the first day.
Rentals
Reliable rental instruments for students and families. Rentals are prepared to the same standard as the instruments we sell, and we fit the player in person before anything goes home.
Setup & Care
Professional adjustments to optimize playability and tone. Bridge, soundpost, fingerboard and strings, adjusted to the instrument in front of us and the player who will be using it.
Our Commitment
Hand Selected
String Instruments
At Ferguson Violins, we carefully evaluate every instrument to ensure it performs at its best for its level of quality.
We use only instruments from trusted makers and suppliers. No shortcuts, no compromises. These are instruments carefully selected and extensively evaluated to ensure they are highly playable, tonally sound, and prepared for any situation.
Our commitment to quality means that even entry-level instruments are chosen for comfort, responsiveness, and reliability—helping students build good technique and enjoy playing.
That standard applies whether a family is renting a first instrument or choosing one to carry a player through college.
We're Here
Every Step of the Way
Lifetime Commitment
From your first instrument to a lifetime of playing, we are here for you and your family. Every instrument we sell is guaranteed for life, and we treat the sale as a beginning rather than an ending.
Expert Guidance
You can feel assured that every instrument is carefully evaluated and prepared. More than thirty years of selecting and setting up string instruments stands behind every one we hand over.
Regular Support
We provide ongoing assistance to ensure you and your instrument are performing at their best. Strings settle, bridges shift, and the seasons move the wood. Bring it back and we will put it right.
Always Available
For the life of your instrument, Ferguson Violins is only a call away. We are on 2nd North in Rexburg, and you are welcome to simply walk in.
For Growing Players
Rental
Instruments
Reliable rental violins, violas, and cellos for school orchestra students and for families beginning their first season.
Every rental leaves the shop hand-selected and properly set up, given the same preparation as an instrument we sell. A first instrument that plays well is what keeps a player playing.
"We consider each transaction the beginning of a lifelong partnership and friendship with string players and their families."
